Istanbul Dental Academy in short IDA was founded by three academician dentists in a basement garage in Fatih, Istanbul... Just kidding :) We were on the second floor. The foundation of our training center was laid in January 2018, and technical infrastructure development work continued for a year. We produced our own design of training tables that simulate a dental chair as a result of R&D.
IDA is the first and only independent hands-on training center established in Turkey for dentists. Our first training course, a 'Laminate Veneers' course, was held on January 25-26, 2019, under the instruction of Prof. Dr. Aslihan Usumez.
In addition to hands-on training, live surgery courses have been launched. A professional sound and image system has been set up at our training center for live training events. Trainees were able to follow clinical surgical procedures in real time, ask questions during operations, and receive answers from instructors.
We participated in the world's leading dental supplies fair held in Dubai.
During the pandemic, we broadcast more than 20 free webinars to dentists via the YouTube platform.
