Professor Kurtulmus is a faculty member actively engaged in academic and clinical practice in the field of prosthodontics. His primary areas of expertise include dental sleep medicine, obstructive sleep apnea, sleep bruxism, temporomandibular disorders, and occlusion. As one of the pioneering prosthodontists in Türkiye focusing on the prosthodontic management of sleep disorders, he lectures extensively at national and international scientific meetings and continuing education programs.

Academic Background

  • Graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Hacettepe University, in 1998.
  • Completed his PhD in the Department of Prosthodontics, Graduate School of Health Sciences, Ege University, in 2004.
  • Conducted one of Türkiye's first doctoral research projects on the prosthodontic management of obstructive sleep apnea.
  • Appointed Associate Professor in 2014 and Professor in 2020.
  • Served as a faculty member in the Department of Prosthodontics, Faculty of Dentistry, Istanbul Aydın University, from 2018 to 2020.
