Associate Professor Emre Aytuğar is a faculty member actively engaged in academic research and clinical practice in the field of oral and maxillofacial radiology. His areas of expertise include oral and maxillofacial imaging, dental radiology, oral diagnosis, and laser dentistry. With more than 100 national and international scientific publications, Dr. Aytuğar continues his academic work in both Türkiye and Spain.

Academic Background

Graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Istanbul University, in 2002.
Began his PhD training in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at Marmara University in 2003.
Completed his PhD and specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2009.
Served as an Assistant Professor at the Faculties of Dentistry of Istanbul Aydın University and Bezmialem Vakıf University between 2011 and 2016.
Earned a Mastership in Laser Dentistry from the Aachen Dental Laser Center, RWTH Aachen University, in 2016.
Appointed Associate Professor in 2020.
Since 2017, he has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, Faculty of Dentistry, İzmir Kâtip Çelebi University, while also pursuing advanced academic studies in Advanced Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC Barcelona), Spain.
