From Implant Planning to Digital Impression - Implant Supported Prosthesis

Day 1 will begin with an introduction to the course objectives and an overview of the general workflow. This will be followed by a session on the evaluation of edentulous spaces, implant planning, and the fundamental principles for determining ideal implant positions. In the later part of the day, the components used in implant-supported prosthetic treatments will be introduced, and the clinical criteria for abutment selection will be discussed.

In the afternoon session, impression techniques and impression materials used for implant-supported restorations will be explained in detail. In the final part of the day, participants will perform hands-on conventional impression-taking procedures using open- and closed-tray techniques at both implant and abutment levels on plastic jaw models. In addition, abutment selection, abutment transfer methods, metal–ceramic try-in procedures, and finishing steps will be carried out in a workshop format.

Day 2 will begin with a session on implant-supported prosthetic materials and material selection criteria. The advantages and limitations of materials preferred for different clinical indications will be evaluated, and general information on implant-supported prosthesis types and hybrid prostheses will be presented.

In the afternoon session, occlusion criteria in implant-supported prostheses, cementation procedures, and clinical approaches to patient communication will be discussed. During the hands-on component of the day, participants will prepare indexes and perform impression-taking procedures using the open-tray technique for full-arch implant-supported restorations on plastic jaw models. Furthermore, the evaluation of passive fit and screw test procedures for implant-supported full-arch restorations will be conducted in a workshop format. Digital impression workflows for implant-supported restorations in partially edentulous cases will also be demonstrated and practiced on plastic jaw models.
