Course Overview
This 2-day hands-on course focuses on the key clinical stages of implant-supported prosthetic treatment, from implant planning and abutment selection to conventional and digital impression techniques and passive fit assessment in full-arch restorations. The course aims to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of implant-supported prosthetic workflows and enable them to select appropriate prosthetic approaches for different clinical situations.
Theoretical Training
The course covers the assessment of edentulous spaces, implant treatment planning, determination of ideal implant positions, implant-supported prosthetic components, and appropriate abutment selection. Conventional impression techniques and materials, types of implant-supported prostheses, hybrid prostheses, and material selection criteria for different clinical indications will be discussed in detail. Clinical approaches to occlusion, cementation, patient communication, and passive fit assessment in full-arch restorations will also be evaluated through clinical cases.
Hands-on Training
Participants will perform conventional implant- and abutment-level impression techniques using both open- and closed-tray approaches on plastic jaw models. Abutment selection and transfer techniques, metal–ceramic try-in procedures, and finishing steps will be practiced in a workshop format. For full-arch implant-supported restorations, participants will perform index fabrication, open-tray impressions, passive fit assessment, and screw test procedures. Digital impression techniques for implant-supported restorations in partially edentulous cases will also be demonstrated hands-on on models.
