Anterior Composite Restorations: Fracture, Diastema, Laminate

On the first day of our Anterior Course, the essential esthetic and functional principles for fracture, diastema, and composite veneer restorations will be thoroughly analyzed. The optical properties of enamel, dentin, and modern composite materials will be explained, along with key factors for accurate shade selection, isolation and preparation techniques, matrix systems, single- and multi-layering techniques, surface characterization, and finishing procedures. These topics will be presented through clinical case demonstrations.

Following the theoretical session, participants will proceed to the hands-on training. A rubber dam will be applied to the anterior region on a phantom jaw model. A fracture will then be created on a central incisor, and participants will restore it step by step using the layering technique, covering every stage from preparation to final polishing.

On the second day of the Anterior Course, the complete clinical workflow for diastema closure and direct composite veneer restorations will be discussed through real clinical cases, from treatment planning and preparation to finishing and polishing. The indications, handling characteristics, and clinical outcomes of different composite resin systems will also be compared and discussed interactively.

During the hands-on session, participants will first create and then close a diastema between the central incisors on a phantom model. They will also perform a composite veneer preparation and restoration on a central incisor, following the complete clinical protocol from start to finish.
